
The goal of the freeform adventure is to let players make up fun uniques and backgrounds and then weave a quick story and battle around the players’ ideas. The demo is for 2nd level characters, instead of 1st level, to help new players feel comfortable inventing interesting backgrounds for heroes who have already lived a little!
The adventure also introduces our new approach to presenting monster stats, using descriptors beside each defense and the hit points to give the GM more to work with describing the action.
