The adventure also gives the GM a town setting near the Archmage’s city of Horizon in the Dragon Empire to use as a source of adventure and intrigue for the PCs.

The New World

System: The New World

Author: Bill White

Duration: 3-4 sessions

Deadline: 31st January

Description:
The New World is a story-telling game about cultures in collision, and about the struggles of the people who are caught up in the middle of that clash. It is “slipstream” history, not quite fantasy or science fiction but not quite mainstream either, characterized by a cavalier impatience with the specifics of historical detail in favor of a license for the active exercise of the historical imagination. To play the game, players invent or choose a quasi-historical setting—an alternate reality, a parallel Earth, or a historical pastiche—to be the backdrop against which their characters strive to achieve ambitions that will allow them to bequeath some sort of legacy to the world they will leave behind them.

Mythos Expeditions – Served Cold

System: Trail of Cthulhu

Langdon Gibson, a marksman and ornithologist, died six days ago on his acreage in the Catskills. It was an attack of some kind, quite bloody. Another man, Frederick Cook, also died gruesomely, in Danbury, Connecticut some months ago. Gibson and Cook had a common link, in that both been involved in the Arctic expeditions of the famous explorer Robert Peary, who mounted a number of expeditions to explore Greenland and the North Pole. Is this a coincidence, or did something unspeakable happen in the polar ice?
