Call for Playtesters: The Dreadful Hare

Pelgrane Press cordially invites you to playtest scenarios for Merryshire Detective Club. These include “Slaying the Wagon,” a second intro scenario for the core book, and scenarios from The Dreadful Hare, its accompanying adventure anthology book. Depending on the whims of our random selection process, you may be assigned to run:

• a tale of a pesky pooka curse on an ancestral manor

• an unfortunate impaling at the village chapel

• trouble at the circus

• a simple pie shop theft that couldn’t possibly lead to anything more sinister

If you are a Game Moderator with an active group and are able to play and report back by the end of September 2026, please contact us at gamemasters@pelgranepress.com.

You will be supplied with a PDF of the most current Merryshire Detective Club draft. Note that we are now testing scenarios, not the rules.

If you turn in feedback ahead of time and want to keep rolling, we’ll send you another scenario, possibly from the above list, or maybe a different Merryshire mystery, with a new deadline.

Commit to this only if you are able to run and report back on the first of your assigned scenarios by September 30 2026.
